Project Background

The client had multiple PLM systems including home grown and OOTB solutions from SAP and Siemens. The client selected the PTC Windchill solution as its PLM backbone for production and sourcing BOM. Windchill was the enabler for globally configuring and releasing cars to production.

Our Scope

Requirement Gathering

Gather customer requirements, generate application design and specification. Organize and conduct workshops, present practical options, and solutions.

Architect and Guide Implementation

Architect and guide the implementation of Windchill server, GUI, and integration customizations.

Gap Analysis and Customization Decisions

Propose, demo/mock, analyze the gaps and level of customization, effort, risks. Provide possible implementation solutions to fill a gap in the OOTB functionality.

Our Solution

APPSistem identified and deputed its senior consultant at the client site. Our consultant understood the client’s pain areas and was instrumental in collaborating with the client’s implementation team to identify critical requirements and develop application specification and design.

Our consultant was responsible to architect and guide the implementation of Windchill server, GUI, and integration customizations. APPSistem was required to propose, demo, and analyze the level of customization, effort, and associated risks. Our consultant also guided the client’s team to validate the pros and cons of the implementation solutions and arrive at the best implementation strategy.
