APPSistem is seeking a talented and passionate PTC Windchill PLM Solution Developer to join our growing team.

About the Role:

As a PTC Windchill PLM Solution Developer, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment of customizations and integrations within our Windchill platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of Windchill architecture, development tools, best practices, and a passion for creating high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications and integrations within the Windchill PLM environment.
• Implement Windchill customizations using Java, JLink, and other relevant technologies.
• Configure and customize Windchill out-of-the-box functionalities to meet specific business requirements.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windchill, providing support to end-users.
• Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and API documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Windchill releases, technologies, and industry trends.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of PLM best practices and standards.
• Work closely with other developers, administrators, and business users in a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in developing and customizing PTC Windchill PLM systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java and JLink.
• Experience with Windchill APIs and web services.
• Proficiency in Windchill customization and configuration, including experience with various modules (e.g., PDMLink, ProjectLink, Parts Management, Change Management).
• Familiarity with Windchill architecture and data model.
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.  
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
• PTC certifications are a plus.
• Experience in [mention specific industry experience if required, e.g., automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, medical devices, etc.] is highly desirable.
